Hello OpenAI Team,
I have noticed an issue with time tracking in ChatGPT conversations. The assistant does not seem to track real-time gaps between messages, which sometimes leads to responses that do not consider the time elapsed between interactions.
Example of the Issue:
-
In the morning, I mention a plan or schedule.
-
Hours later, I update my progress, but ChatGPT does not seem to recognize the time gap and assumes it’s still the same moment.
-
This leads to responses that do not align with the actual flow of my day.
Proposed Solution:
If real-time tracking of timestamps is enabled, ChatGPT could provide more relevant responses based on how much time has passed since the last interaction.
I have personally implemented a workaround by explicitly mentioning the time and date in my first message of the day, but a built-in solution would improve the overall experience.
Would love to hear if something like this is planned for future updates!
Thanks
