I’m experiencing a bug with the ‘read aloud’ feature. It fails halfway through reading, forcing me to start over from the beginning. This issue has been occurring consistently for several months, and it’s quite frustrating. Any assistance in resolving this would be appreciated.
It sounds like you are discussing ChatGPT.
And you are discussing the buttons at the bottom of assistants responses for having them spoken by a text-to-speech voice.
Are you using an app or the website? Mobile, OS?
First, I would do a full hard refresh (CTRL-F5, SHIFT-F5, SHIFT-(refresh)…) of the site with ad blockers and privacy guards turned off. This will update the code and the backend features gates applied to the browser.
Or in the mobile app, clear the local data cache and storage of the app and download the latest ChatGPT from the device app store.
Why? A recent issue related to simply the buttons and playback disappearing when you leave focus of a past message was just fixed.
Then, in a chat of what length do you get this symptom, and which message are you trying to play within that? A chat with what model (and GPT probably has it disabled)
Browser, os. To the level where I or anybody else can get the same result…
This is ultimately not a ChatGPT support forum, but for developers. A reproducible documented problem as a high quality bug report affecting millions could be passed along to the right team, though.
thank you for your reply even though it seems this not the right channel
i looked around for support for chatgpt and this is the closest i have to a forum/form that i found
the issue is happening on multiple environments: browser, desktop app, and ios app. it has been happening for months too so i’m inclined to think it is an issue with the feature itself
