## Random Chinese spam-like text appearing as automatically generated ChatGPT chat titles

I am seeing strange Chinese text appear as chat titles in ChatGPT.

My normal conversation language is **Russian** , and the affected conversations were also ordinary Russian-language chats. The generated Chinese titles appear unrelated to the actual conversation content.

Examples I have seen on August 25, 2026:

- `天天中彩票大神推荐`

- `马会`

- `级特黄大片`

- `马会RGCtx`

These do not look like normal translations of the conversations.

Some of them appear to contain gambling / horse-racing terminology, while another appears to contain adult/spam-like terminology. `马会` also appeared more than once.

### Expected behavior

Automatically generated chat titles should describe the conversation and normally follow the language/context of the chat.

### Actual behavior

Some chats receive apparently unrelated Chinese text instead. In several cases the text resembles Chinese web-spam terminology rather than a meaningful summary of the conversation.

### Important detail

I noticed the corrupted titles after they had already been generated, so I can no longer reliably identify which exact conversation corresponded to each Chinese title or what its previous title was.

However, this happened repeatedly across multiple chats within a short period, while my normal ChatGPT usage and conversations are in Russian.

### Environment

- ChatGPT Web

- Desktop

- Windows 10

- Chrome

- ChatGPT Plus

- Observed: August 25, 2026

This may be related to other recent reports about unexpected Chinese or other foreign-language text appearing in automatically generated ChatGPT titles.

I encountered the same issue today, October 1, 2026.

ChatGPT automatically generated the following title for one of my conversations:

**多语言页面检查马会**

The conversation itself was about checking a multilingual website. The string **“马会”** was completely unrelated to the conversation and had never appeared in my prompt or chat content.

What caught my attention is that the exact same string **“马会”** was reported in this thread, so this appears to be another independent occurrence of the same issue.

Environment:

- ChatGPT Web
- Windows 10
- Microsoft Edge 154
- ChatGPT Plus
- Observed: October 1, 2026, around 11:20–11:30 JST

I also contacted OpenAI Support. They said there is currently no known incident matching this behavior and suggested reporting the example for review.
