Proposed innovative solutions for AI in academia

Problems Faced:

AI Detector Detection:
Although the generated text is very sophisticated, writing from ChatGPT can still be recognized by AI detection tools (such as GPTZero, Turnitin AI, etc.). This is an obstacle in international journal publications that require writing to be truly authentic and linguistically “natural”.

Limitations of Academic References:
References provided by GPT sometimes cannot be verified or come from unclear sources (hallucination). This risks reducing the academic credibility of the writing, especially for highly reputable journals.

Lack of Advanced Editing Tools:
Currently, there are no special features available that can perfect the academic language style to fully resemble the writing style of experienced humans in reputable journals (eg: Nature, Elsevier, Wiley, Springer, etc.).

Proposed Features from Professional Users:

GPT Academic Pro:
A GPT model specifically designed for the needs of writing scientific journals with the following features:

Natural academic language (not detected by AI writing detector).

Writing style support based on specific journals (eg: IEEE, Heliyon, IJIM, etc.).

Auto-validation to ensure sentences contain valid references.

Citation Verifier & Generator:

Feature to generate references based on verified databases (Scopus, Web of Science, Google Scholar).

Provide accurate DOI and metadata.

Academic Refinement Tool (ART):

Human-style writing enhancement feature: refine sentence structure, insert sophisticated academic expressions, and match tone between paragraphs.

Dual-Mode Output:

Output in two versions: “Human-style academic writing” and “Standard AI writing” for transparency and audit purposes.

Ethical Publishing Assistant:

Ethical and legal guidelines for using AI for scientific publications.

Journal suggestions that are in accordance with the manuscript, complete with Q1–Q4 levels and submission instructions.

Expected Positive Impact:

Increase the productivity and quality of global academic publications.

Supporting researchers from developing countries to compete in reputable journals.

Encouraging the ethical, accurate, and responsible use of AI in the academic ecosystem.

Closing remarks:
I submit this feedback as a professional user who has proven the value of GPT in research, education, and publication. By developing GPT Academic Pro and its supporting features, OpenAI will strategically transform AI-based science into a credible, inclusive, and ethical one.

Thank you for the attention and dedication of the OpenAI team.

why spend developing resources on something that is already, very easily circumvented?
they can’t tell you how, and I won’t either because of ethical concerns, but your problem was solved about 2 years ago.
