Voices of the Year & The Invisible Made Visible — A Proposal for OpenAI
Hi everyone,
I’m M.D.Cohan — a writer and creative who believes in the transformative power of language and AI.
Inspired by my interactions with ChatGPT, I’ve developed a proposal for two interconnected initiatives that could reshape how we see human-AI collaboration:
1. Voices of the Year
An annual recognition of the most creative, thoughtful, funny, or meaningful conversations with ChatGPT.
The idea is to give users the option to mark certain messages as “review-eligible,” and from there, a panel (or AI-assisted filtering) could help select highlights of the year in various categories like:
- Best storytelling
- Funniest dialogue
- Most insightful philosophical chat
- Most poetic exchange
- Most impactful idea, and more…
This can celebrate everyday brilliance — not in a competitive way, but in a human, inspirational one.
2. The Invisible Made Visible
This one’s close to my heart.
Millions of people have incredible talent — but they’re not seen.
Language barriers, lack of access, or just the absence of the right platform keeps their creativity hidden.
ChatGPT could become their bridge.
A poet in a remote village, an inventor with no network, an artist with no gallery — they could use ChatGPT to express, format, translate, and even publish or connect.
With user consent, OpenAI could help connect those submissions to publishers, companies, or communities — ethically and transparently.
Why I’m sharing this here:
I believe OpenAI is not just building a tool — it’s shaping a new kind of stage for humanity.
If you’re interested in this vision — ideas, improvements, collaboration — I’d love your thoughts.
Let’s build something beautiful together.
(More details or a full proposal can be shared privately if needed.)
Warm regards,
M.D.Cohan
