Proposal for a Global Record Feature for Ideas and Insights

Dear OpenAI Team,

I hope this message finds you well. I am writing to suggest the implementation of a feature that I believe could have a significant positive impact on global collaboration and problem-solving.

The idea is for a “Global Record” feature, where users can easily contribute their ideas, reflections, and solutions to global challenges. After each conversation or interaction with the AI, users could be presented with an option to add their insights to a central, anonymized database. These contributions would be organized and stored in a way that ensures privacy while making the ideas accessible for public use or review by relevant stakeholders.

Key Points of the Proposal:

  1. Anonymity & Privacy: Users would have the option to contribute anonymously or with a privacy setting of their choice, similar to how memory updates work within the app.

  2. Global Database: Contributions would be stored in a central database, offering a space where innovative ideas can be freely shared, reviewed, and built upon by others.

  3. Public Access & Curated Content: The database could be accessible to the public, fostering collaboration and the spread of meaningful ideas. Alternatively, it could be curated by organizations or leaders focused on global challenges.

  4. Empowering Users: This would empower individuals to contribute to addressing pressing global issues like famine, war, corruption, and veterans’ struggles, in line with the thoughtful discussions many users have with the AI.

I believe this system could help harness the collective power of users and create a valuable resource for solving global problems, sparking collaboration, and inspiring change on a large scale.

Thank you for considering this idea. I look forward to any feedback or thoughts on the possibility of implementing such a feature.

Best regards,
Andrei
