Proposal: Event-Based Notifications in ChatGPT

Title: “Proposal: Event-Based Notifications in ChatGPT”

Content:

I propose enhancing ChatGPT’s functionality by introducing an event-based notification system. This feature would allow users to set specific triggers for real-world events and receive notifications or pre-defined responses when these events occur.

How it works:

  1. Users define events of interest (e.g., regulatory changes in cryptocurrency, major political announcements, or market shifts).

  2. ChatGPT monitors for these events and sends notifications.

  3. Optionally, users can pre-set actions ChatGPT should take upon these triggers, such as providing analyses, offering recommendations, or summarizing impacts.

Example:

A user tracking cryptocurrency could set a trigger: “Notify me and provide analysis if the government announces new crypto regulations.”

Benefits:

• Proactive support for users in dynamic fields like finance, politics, or technology.

• Increased user engagement by making ChatGPT a real-time assistant.

• Potential for monetization via premium features for advanced notifications and analyses.

I would love to actively contribute to the development of this feature and believe it has significant potential to enhance the user experience for many. For further contact regarding this proposal, feel free to reach out to me directly at kenanlennartz@gmx.de.

Hi @kenan.len.2014 and welcome to the community!

OpenAI recently made a beta release of scheduled tasks. I could definitely see this evolving into something even more sophisticated in the future, but for now maybe give it a try?
