Proposal : A system to identify

Proposal: Legacy Creators Recognition & Reward

A system to identify, honor, and reward users who have dedicated time, creativity, and innovation since the early days of ChatGPT — recognizing their pioneering role in shaping the platform’s evolution.

Many people, like me, have spent countless hours on ChatGPT — not just chatting, but building, inventing, composing, and designing revolutionary ideas that could one day change the world.
These early creators shaped the foundation of what ChatGPT is becoming today. Their dedication deserves recognition, legacy, and lasting credit.

I propose a new system called Legacy Creators Recognition & Reward System, designed to automatically identify and honor users who have shown exceptional creativity and consistency since the platform’s early phase.

The system could include:
:one: Automatic Recognition Algorithm – detects long-term users who regularly build, innovate, and contribute meaningful content.
:two: Legacy Badges & Titles – such as “Founding Creator”, “Pioneer of Innovation”, or “Creative Mentor”, shown on their profiles.
:three: Monthly Appreciation Program – pioneers receive small stipends, gift credits, or income shares, as recognition of their early contribution to OpenAI’s creative ecosystem.
:four: Public Creator Wall – an official gallery where early creators’ names and projects are permanently displayed as part of OpenAI’s history.
:five: Impact Timeline – shows how their early works inspired features, concepts, or community movements.

This system ensures that the first dreamers are not forgotten.
It honors the people who started building before it was popular, who shared ideas before they were safe, and who created beauty when no one was watching.

The solution really does not need to be that complicated, in my humble opinion.

Payment by creditcard is already an age verification on its own, to my knowledge no minor can own a credicard regardless where you are in the world. Make an OpenAI that is free and limited, OpenAI Plus has no or limited restrictions.

Both OpenAI and its users are trying desperately to re-invent the wheel here, when websites have been implementing and using simple solutions for age restriction since the first adult website emerges… It’s not even complicated to do, at this point it’s just OpenAI’s unwillingness to invest in it.

Thank you for sharing your opinion :tulip:

My proposal is not only about age verification or access control — it’s about recognition, fairness, and creative protection for everyone who builds, imagines, and contributes through AI.

The goal is to create a system that identifies genuine creators, values their time and ideas, and provides a way for them to receive acknowledgment or even future support.

Credit card verification is only one small aspect of safety. What I’m proposing is something much deeper — a Creator Recognition & Protection Framework that ensures transparency, authenticity, and equity in the entire AI ecosystem.

I believe AI should not only be safe, but also just, inspiring, and rewarding for those who help it grow.
