It looks like there’s only a small group of plug-in developers on this platform currently. I was actually part of the first AWS beta back in 2006 - yep, I’m getting up there in years! AWS used to bring us early adopters together to brainstorm ideas, and eventually, EC2 was launched. The rest, as they say, is history.
I think OpenAI could benefit from doing something similar. I’m feeling a bit disconnected from the team, you know? So here’s my idea: if an advisory council doesn’t already exist, I suggest we set one up. And if it does, I’d like to throw my hat in the ring and be considered for it.
Back in the day, circa 2008 I started Cloud Camp in San Francisco. The first one held at the Microsoft office on market street in SF. It grew to 300 cities by 2011. Same playbook?
I’m in (remotely). Having to put in 25 characters for a reply and not being able to do more than one reply at time is a tad annoying. I understand the reason for it and it may be necessary, but in a case like this only a couple words are necessary, like “I’m in”.
I agree. I wasn’t around for the AWS beta period of time as I’m only 21 years old, but I really want to have a community to discuss plugin ideas and develop new industry standards so we can speed up the production of these applications.
