# Project Pinning & Sidebar Customization in ChatGPT App

Hi OpenAI team,

I use ChatGPT daily as part of my creative, research, and problem-solving workflows.  
There are two features that I believe would significantly improve the experience — especially for long-term, project-based users like myself.

📌 **Feature Suggestions**

1. **Project or Topic Pinning**

- Let us pin key conversations to the top of the sidebar for quick access.
- Use cases might include:
  - Research threads (e.g. climate policy)
  - Ongoing creative writing projects
  - Technical Q&A on multi-file codebases

1. **Sidebar Customization & Right Sidebar with Icon-Based Project Access**

- Add a **right-side sidebar** that allows users to pin their active projects as icons.
- These icons would represent ongoing tasks or conversations, and users could click them for quick access.
- This would allow users to organize and access their most important or active projects more efficiently.

🛠 **Desktop App Issue**  
On Windows/macOS desktop apps, clicking an external link opens a new window —  
but closing that window also closes the entire ChatGPT app.  
It would be great to see a fix or a setting to always open links in the default browser.

✨ **Why this matters**

ChatGPT is growing into more than a chatbot — it’s becoming a thought partner.  
With these features, it could evolve into a true **knowledge dashboard** for power users.
