Project Owner cannot add Fine Tuned model of project to allowed models in project

I can create fine tuned models, but cannot see them until the organization owner has added them to the project. I am a project owner, but not the org owner. I get an error when trying to use in the playground and via API until the org owner goes to settings/limits and manually adds them to the allowed models list which I cannot modify. This seems like something that should be within the scope of project owner so I can create and use within the project.

how are you gonna do that without weights?

It creates fine tune models fine for me without that third party account. I just have to have the org owner manually add each fine tune model into the limits allowed models after they are created. Once that is done they work fine. I don’t think my limitation is related to a lack of third part tool account and key to use a created model.

i was under the impression you wanted to use your own weights since you say you create them, my bad, i also assumed you were refering to training your own ai - and not using openai weights, my bad.

I am using that with o4 mini and have created several fine tuning jobs. I just can’t use them until the admin adds them to the project allowed models explicitly. The fine tuned models exist, but just can’t access them until added explicitly in the project tab with permissions I apparently don’t have as project owner.
