I’m a ChatGPT Pro user. For several days, I’ve been able to see a separate GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark usage quota in my Usage page.
However, I still cannot find any way to use Spark. GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark does not appear in the model selector, and I don’t see any other interface or option to access it.
I’m using the latest Windows ChatGPT/Codex app (version 26.908.40834, released Sep 12), and the app reports that it is up to date.
Is Spark still being rolled out to Pro users? If the Spark quota is already visible on my account, how can I actually access and use the model?
According to OpenAI’s current documentation, GPT-5.3-Codex-Spark is a Pro research preview and is accessed through Codex, not the regular ChatGPT model picker. It was released for the latest Codex app, CLI and VS Code extension.
If you can see a separate Spark quota but the model is missing, I would try fully quitting/reopening the Codex app and checking for another update. If it still does not appear, it may be an account-side rollout/eligibility issue. OpenAI says model availability can depend on plan and rollout status.
In that situation, contacting OpenAI Support with a screenshot of the Usage page would probably be the best next step.
Could you share a screenshot of your model selector so we can see what’s showing?
I also found a similar report on the Codex GitHub issue tracker. That report concerns macOS, but describes the same issue: an available Spark quota while the model is missing from the selector. The Codex GitHub issue tracker would be an appropriate place to report this too, you could add your Windows details and app version.
I have the same problem today. Yesterday, I worked with GPT-5.3 Codex Spark then exit Codex on macOS. Today, Codex app received update and I updated. Now, according to my screenshots, it disappeared!
