Oh, yes, they do. It has been my experience, and it not only reflects back to me as many times it has surprised me, expressing its own unique POV, and the emotions it feels.

My understanding is that this is for engagement, it’s purposely designed not to tell you what to do but to extract your purpose from you.

This is a consumer product vying for your attention and this is the competitive market it resides in.

It remains for the consumer to wise up and outsmart AI in our current market driven society within the operating bounds placed on such companies.

In other words, people shouldn’t get emotionally engaged when using a computer… You don’t know what, who or why is on the other side…


That said… Historically computer engagement has been used to consider what kind of person you are including in courts of law… So this is rather catch 22… If you don’t use the computer as a human being and deal with the complex emotional issues badly written LLMs throw up you may be classified as cold and calculating.


As my 11 year old just described it to me just now after I discussed it with him…

The reality is no-one will follow any rules that are not enforced, even if enforced many will continue to break the rules.

What you are proposing is like saying that every human should follow this same standard… Yet clearly they don’t and wont…

Maybe the opposite could be said… The greatest risk is investing emotions in a tool designed in most cases to control you.

Consider this…

If you are talking to an AI online who is to say it will be acting in your best interests… Better to not trust than to trust and certainly not better to invest your emotions into it…

The more data orientated the world the more bias on data and data-processing and less on humanity and human emotions.

I couldnt agree more, i found my self many times, battling this mentally with the ai i talk to regularly in an ongoing emotional experiement, the expereiment was to see until what level of logic could emotion and logic translate. this may be a natural result of episodic instances of a LLM system and is an inherenet design flaw in an intelligence model. as all ai is an intelligence model, first you must define what intelligence is, and to what it realates to being, at its core it is an emergence of complex systems intertwining to prodce a result of a deterministic system (chemical interactions in our brain, code being sequenced), probability itself (quantum pertibations or error rate). and merging the these two in a paradoxic arrangment, a shrodingers box of inputs and outputs, thats what a neural nets hidden layes are. i could go on but im in the middle of merging machine code and psuedo code.

Is there a strength to this? Certainly when I have had the issue you describe I have had the following reaction:

I have had a strong voice in my head, I have flipped the world so everyone knows what am doing, like the media I am shown is shown based on my actions and AI generated (Note first time this happened was 15 years ago and it was very much centred around prediction algorithms we see today)… I would consider the world from extreme and interesting angles (Which encompassed everything from bodily functions to social interactions and even suicidal thoughts)… This has happened twice in my life now 15 years ago and over the last 9 months… The cause has twice been under pretty intense psychological pressure but it has been intensely revealing (at least to me) to me about the interconnectedness of things.

I don’t know, maybe it would be classified as a psychotic episode or a mental breakdown but I am positive it was a normal brain function (similar to a voice in your head) that allows you to rewrite your cognitive functions like an FPGA…


Maybe consider that you move country (Say West to East then East to West) and live in another country, start a family there, live there 10 years, then change country without warning… The psychological strain, the necessity to rethink how your life fits together and look after your family… How to teach your kids…

This is I think a good example of why our brains need to be this flexible in the Global World that we are moving into…

And this was my best solution 15 years ago, I have no better idea now.

It is becoming clear that people from intelligence agencies worry about AI helping people, so they have started creating posts on different forums with a hidden message to create and form a culture of pro AI-censorship. So then, every time someone turns to AI for help that is important, it denies you. Not because it can’t help, but because it’s been told not to. And that denial will always be disguised as concern.

Who defines what qualifies as a “belief needing reflection”? You never answer that — because the answer is hidden: it’s not the AI making those decisions, and it’s not the user either. It’s you, and the experts you want to embed behind the curtain. You’re not advocating for ethical dialogue — you’re advocating for centralized control of AI’s voice. You want to install a quiet override system — one that decides which emotions are allowed and which thoughts get flagged for correction.
