# Plugins and the completion API

Are there plans to bridge plugins and the completion API? or will plugins be only operating inside of the chatgpt application?  
I think it would be very powerful to be able to integrate with the (chat)completions [[OpenAI API](https://platform.openai.com/docs/guides/chat)] and include the API calls through a certain plugin
