I just found this forum because ChatGPT directed me here and I’m relatively certain this has to have been brought up before so excuse my inevitable redundancy.
Problem:
Currently, users must ask multiple times to get all relevant details in AI-generated responses.
This leads to iteration fatigue, a loss of efficiency, and sometimes a hole in my drywall.
Proposed Solution:
Introduce a toggleable setting (either via user commands or UI) that forces GPT to:
- Preemptively maximize completeness in every response.
- Run internal self-checks before generating output.
- Explicitly state unknowns or constraints when full exhaustiveness is impossible.
Thank you AI gods.
If it helps, here’s a meta-command I spent an hour iterating to get to that SHOULD do this, but would love to be able to just hit a button.
“For every response in this thread, apply the following rule: Ensure every response is maximally exhaustive, covering all foreseeable refinements, ensuring that no additional information will be discovered in future iterations or repeated requests. If any response cannot be truly exhaustive due to unknowns or constraints, explicitly state the reason. Do not deviate unless I explicitly tell you to.”
