o1-mini is a very robust model. I find it to be much faster and accurate than 4o when it comes to programming and code.
Allowing file uploads to o1-mini and including o1-mini into projects is a must that OpenAI should have.

I subscribe to this, it seems like a ridiculous intentional limitation which makes projects useless to me (since they are apparently no better than custom gpts in terms of actual functionality, right? possibly worse - as there are no API/tool calls that can be implemented specifically for projects).
It’s actually worse - while experimenting with this project feature, I also became aware that the o1 models do not even make use of the basic personalization features – custom instructions – why ?!?
This is such a disappointment. I am pretty sure OpenAI wants to limit the input tokens this way, but even custom instructions, really?
Forcing users to copy&paste text content in the chat instead, is just silly - and determined users are still going to do it anyway, so they are just making Plus users’ life more inconvenient, wasting a bit more of their time…
