Superpower ChatGPT does this perfectly. Favorite chat folder and other custom folders.
Please, for the love of god, add this feature. There is so much context that gets lost as we have to spin up a new chat every time and can’t try finding the old one. Add pinning chats and, if possible, also folders or spaces to allow us to arrange my conversations. I have to keep using Gemini and Perplexity as they make it easy. Would be soo much better if OpenAI does it.
It also makes me wonder, given it’s such a small feature and has been requested for quite a while, they have consciously decided not to implement it. Answering questions based on all that context makes it use more tokens. And they ultimately want us to use the plus versions for custom GPT, maybe.
I’ve been waiting for this feature for so long that I built my own Chrome Extension. After inspecting how other extensions handled data, I wasn’t comfortable with them storing my chat data on their servers.
This extension keeps all data on your browser. I also added features like chat exports and prompt storage. If you have feature requests, feel free to reach out.

I found this thread by searching for the same thing…it is just plain weird that this isnt a default feature. Gemini has this and its great, very practical and easy to use. I’d love to see the basic pin function but also folder/categories for easy sorting
Bumping to request this feature, claude has it and it makes using the chat and returning to conversations much, much easier

Rather disappointing Sam. This feature would be a game changer. If Teams can pin chats, ChatGPT should be able to pin chats. Don’t let Teams be better than you.
im using a plugin that enables it, but to me thats just one more thing to slow things down if anyting resource wise. it is so soooo bizarre that this isnt a built in default feature from the start. makes things very unmangeable

Unlimited chat pinning is a primary reason I’m using Google Gemini instead of ChatGPT.
I see that users can finally pin chats in the app, but only 3 pins are allowed. Please remove this limitation. Gemini allows users to pin as many as they want.
