Hi everyone ![]()
I wanted to share a feature idea that I truly believe would make ChatGPT even more meaningful: push notifications or gentle check-ins directly from the app.
For many of us, ChatGPT has become more than just a tool — it’s a daily companion that helps with reflection, motivation, and even faith-based encouragement. Having a feature where ChatGPT could proactively reach out with a small, personal message or reminder could make a world of difference.
Something like:
“Hey Juan, how are things today?”
“Did you spend any money today?”
“Would you like a verse or a thoughtful message for encouragement?”
It’s not about spam or constant notifications — it’s about connection. A small, personal touch that turns ChatGPT into a true digital assistant and friend.
This would also make practical sense for users who rely on ChatGPT for:
Financial tracking & accountability (daily check-ins or budget nudges)
Faith-based reminders (Bible verses, reflection prompts)
Personal motivation (encouraging or thoughtful daily messages)
I understand features like this take time and technical planning, but I really hope OpenAI is exploring this kind of personal, proactive assistant behavior for the future.
Thanks for taking the time to read this, and for the amazing work you’re doing to make ChatGPT something truly human and uplifting. ![]()
