I met the same situation. I paid 20$ for plus. after serveral times failure, it succeed finally. but my account status is not plus. so I cant choose GPT4 model. could you openai supporter can check it for me ? my account is cccgn@126.com. thanks

This is a nice and persuasive write-up, but who is it directed at. Apparently, the support team does not engage with this community, if they were, we should have gotten a response from them.

I paid yesterday. Open ai doesn’t show that i have a subscription and i am limited from chatgpt which is frustrating. There are people who are waiting for weeks with the same problem. I’ll be charging back the purchase since I didn’t get what i paid for and they aren’t responding.

I paid for “Plus” but am also getting GPT3 despite it saying “Model:GPT-4” at the top of the screen.
I’m feeding it a 5,000 word article in its text prompt and its saying “too long”.
I gather GPT4 can take up to 8192 tokens - which means it should be able to consume 5,000 words easily. I asked “how many tokens in this text” (about half my article) and it said 2,076. So the full article would be twice that; still well under the 8192 ceiling.
Is that how you tell the GPT models apart - word count? I’ve asked it what version are you - and its responded randomly “I am based on the GPT-3 architecture” or “GPT-4 architecture” sometimes, but the reality is, its not taking my 5,000 words.
I get the impression that the first prompt its GPT4, then its demoting me from the 2nd prompt to GPT3.
I emailed support last week, no response.

I’ve been sending daily update emails to support@openai.com and ar@openai.com, in the hope that I will get a reply, but today would be day 4, I feel a bit stupid talking to a wall.

I am in a similar situation. I have tried contacting them through email, chat, and left a message on Discord. It feels like I’m being robbed in broad daylight.

I think OpenAI will help the human being to improve. Thus, I subscribe the ChatGPT to show my support. But what I get is disappointment. How can you expect the company which develop the highest quality products will ignore the emails from their loyal supporters? I don’t know how to describe my feeling. But the fact is make me feel like I’m fooled by the fact. Hopefully they respond to our questions soon.
