OpenAI support not responding

hey OpenAI is the support@openai.com mailbox experiencing any issues?

We have opened a ticket on 2nd july for suspicious activity on the APIs, had an exhausting exchange with the bot asking all possible information (screenshots, timestamps, bank account details and some extra screenshots, blood tests and what I had for lunch in the last semester), all satisfied at which point bot was supposed to pass this to a human to process.

Fifteen (15) days later, we are still awaiting. Although we flagged/formaly declared immediately the activity as not recognised following the procedure you have set out (plus in any case we had the limits in place which for some reason “were overpassed as the requests were done in a very short time window” → no comment there), you took the money anyway!

I take this to linkedin as I have sent about 5-6 requests for an update and 15 days passed since…Is there anyone going to respond on this please?

AI customer experience & service that leaves a lot to be desired. Awaiting for an outcome soon please

All support is done by bots.

You will never chat, talk or mail with a human, unless you give the bot the strict order to escalate the bug and level it up to human beings.

Or at least that’s my experience after four years of using the bug report system, analyzing the answers and studying both grammar and semantics plus taxonomy of their communications.

Yes it is automated, they aren’t hiding it. It’s using the knowledge base to answer most common questions. If asked, it will elevate to a human response.

You have it documented, they will most likely make it right. If for some reason they don’t, you can initiate a dispute from your Visa/MC provider, simply include all of the documented attempts to reconcile. Visa/MasterCard regs apply to all merchants, so you have 6 months to initiate a dispute. Word of caution: be aware OpenAI might have a reaction to charge being disputed and terminate all of your services immediately.

Also, please keep in mind, their automated billing is most likely completely disconnected from customer service tickets, so that would explain the charge despite of your communication w/ the customer service.

Sorry to hear you've been dealing with this for so long @Ekore

Could you please share your support ticket number? I'll take a look at the case from my side and help track the investigation further.
