every time I log out and then back in ChatGPT 4.o does not remember me until I open and older chat before I logged out, then it recognizes me. Why is this happening?

I have the same problem as of a few days back. I also noticed in my case the + image uploader is grayed out, but it comes back if I log out OR go back to an older session.
for that reason I think it’s a bug, I’m still trying to poke around to see if it’s been confirmed as a bug yet
Well it’s good to know I am not the only one who this is happening to! That was the first time since subscribing that I cleared my cache which logged me out. Like you said, if I don’t open a previous chat to my logging out, Chat has no idea who it is talking to and cannot remember previous conversations.
