Hello OpenAI team,
I’m proposing a monthly “OpenAI Ship Month” competition for functioning applications created through ChatGPT, with separate entry pools for each subscription tier.
Submissions could be privately evaluated for functionality, quality, and safety. Some winners could be selected on merit and others randomly from qualified finalists, giving ordinary subscribers—not only professional developers—a credible path to recognition.
I have used ChatGPT extensively to move from long-form product development conversations to working prototypes. One of those projects is not ready for public access, so please do not publish, distribute, or externally share any prototype, deployment link, or identifying project material without my separate explicit permission.
However, I do affirmatively opt in to OpenAI internally reviewing my relevant ChatGPT conversations for the purpose of identifying:
- Potential ChatGPT features and workflows
- Improvements to context continuity and progressive context retrieval
- Better methods for turning conversations into shipped products
- Creator tools, competitions, and distribution programs
- Recurring product patterns that could benefit other users
This permission is for internal product research and feature discovery. It does not authorize public disclosure of my conversations, private projects, personal information, intellectual property, or prototype links. Please contact me before using or sharing any identifiable example externally.
I would also be glad to provide a private demonstration to an appropriate product, growth, Work, or research team.
James
