New UI update of 26.9.2026 is horrible

Bug

The new ui update of 26.9.2026 is bad asf, it breaks many features / aspects that were useful / good in the old version:

  1. You can no longer middle click on new chat to open it in new window
  2. Replying to messages just pastes the text inside the prompt and you can no longer jump to the reffered part. It was much more useful to be able to jump in longer threads, and you didn’t have to hover the box to see what you are replying to.
  3. Sidebar on the right in chats for jumping to prompts no longer exists, another useful feature gone
  4. Bigger code blocks are put in a smaller, vertically scrollable element, which makes going through a longer code frustrating
  5. One line codes usually spawn a code block way bigger than that one line, eating up space
  6. Dragging middle mouse button no longer scrolls vertically in chats

Honestly I have no idea how such update can even be released, do you guys have no testers ?

Hey @Jano32, I can see why this is frustrating. Losing the prompt navigator and reply jump makes long chats harder to use, and the code-block scrolling adds to that.

Could you share your browser and version, and check whether the missing navigator and reply jump still behave the same way in a private window with extensions off? That would help narrow down the functional issues. For longer snippets, supported code blocks can open in full screen if that control is available in your chat.

I’ve also noted your feedback about middle-clicking New chat, middle-button scrolling, and code-block sizing. I can’t confirm which changes were intentional or offer a timeline for changes.

i’m having same issue, thought i was the only one, then checked community, and got to know, everybody is suffering from this disaster. Plz…, fix this quickly, it’s getting on my nervers now..

Hey @bilalrafiqx458, thanks for adding your report. I can see why this is frustrating. @Jano32 listed several UI changes which ones are you seeing, and what browser or app version are you using? That will help me compare the reports.
