Hello,
Over the past week, I’ve encountered a couple of issues on the platform that have been quite frustrating.
The first issue began when the sidebar would automatically close after I opened a new chat. While it doesn’t render the platform unusable, it’s certainly annoying, and from what I’ve seen, there doesn’t appear to be an option to disable this behavior.
The second issue started today. After aborting a message, ChatGPT began throwing an error for the entire message. Initially, it only showed an error for the message itself, saying “This operation was aborted.” That was understandable since I had aborted the message, and I could continue chatting without any issues (although it was still a bit annoying since I just wanted to interrupt the current message to add new information, not trigger an error). However, now the whole chat locks up when I interrupt a message generation. It displays “There was an error generating a response” at the bottom, and I’m only given the option to regenerate the response instead of continuing the conversation from the point where it was interrupted.
I’ve attached an image to show the error I’m seeing.
For extra information, i am currently running Ubuntu 24.04 with Brave, the issue persists between different accounts of my family in the same device.
