New Feature Request for ChatGPT

I’d like to suggest a feature that gives ChatGPT better awareness of time between messages.

For example, if I’m studying with ChatGPT and send a message at 4 PM, then come back at 7 PM, ChatGPT could understand that 3 hours have passed. This could help with study sessions, breaks, schedules, and conversations involving words like “later,” “tomorrow,” or “a few hours ago.”

It would be especially useful if ChatGPT could have this as an optional feature with appropriate privacy controls, rather than continuously tracking everything in the background.

I think this would make conversations feel much more natural and context-aware.

Hey RxT_Shadow Thanks for sharing this.

That makes sense as a context-awareness feature, especially for study sessions, breaks, and time-based references like “later” or “a few hours ago.” The opt-in/privacy-control part is a good callout too.

We’ll pass this along as feedback, but we don’t have a timeline or implementation details to share right now.
