Need a key/button to quickly jump between OUR own messages/prompts

How has no one else noticed/voiced the need for this basic feature?

In long conversations, you have to keep scrolling through the LLM’s output to see what it was actually replying to; your prompt, what you actually asked.

It would be great to have a shortcut like Cmd+Opt+[ or ] or UI button to “Jump to my previous/next message/prompt”

This would be especially great for chats where you want the LLM to use static rules produce a “transformation” of each of your individual prompts, like a translation chat, where it translates your message verbatim, and so on.

This would also be helpful in the Codex app of course.

Thanks for explaining this request: Add keyboard shortcuts or UI buttons to jump to the previous or next user message. The intended outcome is clear. Thank you for sharing this feedback. We can’t promise implementation or timing. We’re closing this topic while keeping it visible for reference.
