I’m missing a feature that allows users to select a number of messages in an existing chat and choose “Move to new chat.”
Long conversations often develop in several different directions. A work-related chat about one project may, for example, end up containing a lengthy technical discussion about a completely different topic. Currently, you can start a new chat and continue the discussion there, but the previous messages remain in the original chat.
I would therefore like the option to:
- select one or more consecutive messages
- choose “Move to new chat”
- give the new chat a title
- preserve the entire conversation flow and context in the new chat
- remove the moved messages from the original chat
This would make it significantly easier to organize longer conversations and keep chats separated by topic and project.
A similar “Copy to new chat” feature could also be useful when you want to keep the messages in the original chat.
