Missing action preview before approval (todoist/GCalendar)

Hello,

I use the Todoist and Google Calendar integrations with ChatGPT.

Before any write action, I need ChatGPT to show a clear, human-readable preview of exactly what it intends to create or change. Only after that should the technical approval dialog appear.

This used to work, but now ChatGPT always skips the preview and goes straight to the approval dialog, even after repeatedly changing or removing those instructions.

The “Details” section in the approval dialog is not a sufficient replacement, because it is technical and not clearly readable as a normal action summary.

I do not want permanent write permission. ChatGPT sometimes misunderstands my requests, so I want to verify the intended action before approving it.

Would it be possible to make this preview a system-enforced step before the approval dialog, rather than something that depends on the model following an instruction?

Have a nice WE!

Thanks for explaining the distinction. We’ll pass along the request for a clear action preview before the approval dialog. For the behavior change, please share an example privately with Support: https://help.openai.com/en/articles/6614161. We don’t have a timeline to share.
