I entered a bug report, complete with video illustrating this issue. I got the Memory Full notice. I went to Settings > Personalization to delete older chats. It only shows me more recent chats - nothing from 2023, and only the more recent ones for 2024. I cannot scroll back to enable me to delete older chats. I tried both Firefox and Chrome, cleared my cache on each, went to an entirely different computer and it’s definitely a bug so I felt confident submitting it. However, ChatGPT told me that it sometimes takes weeks or even months to get a ticket answered and suggested I come here. It said that other users have reported this issue and some may have found workarounds or helpful hints.
I also mentioned a change request I feel would be quite helpful. For some reason, the chats in Settings > Personalization have been summarized and changed to passive voice, e.g., “User wants to blah blah.” Also, I cannot click on them to read the content, to see if there are things in that chat I DO want to keep. ChatGPT has suggested that in the future, if I’m asking a topic I do NOT need it to remember, that I start a new chat, ask the question, and then delete it right away (and/or tell ChatGPT I don’t need it to remember that.) So I plan to do that. But that doesn’t help me right now.
Would appreciate any help, tips, workarounds, etc., anyone has.
Thanks,
Susan
