MCP Annotations Being Ignored

Recently, it seems ChatGPT MCP connectors and ChatGPT Business app/connectors are ignoring that MCP tool annotations, where I have readOnlyHint set to true. I also tried adding destructiveHint and openWorldHint as false.

In the UI, I’m getting confirmation allow/deny prompts for each tool’s use, and in the details it shows a “write” badge.

Has anyone seen similar issues? It’s really tedious to need to repeatedly allow what are harmless read-only queries.

I can confirm the same behavior. Despite readOnlyHint=true (and destructiveHint/openWorldHint=false), the UI still shows a “write” badge and asks for confirmation on every tool invocation. Looks like MCP annotations are being ignored.
