I love the new feature to search chats.
However, now, when I’m on a big chat and I want to clear it (start a new topic), pressing Cmd-K will take easily 2 seconds for the panel to appear.
I use this function a lot, way more often than searching through chats. It’s also in the interest of OpenAI that users start new chats frequently, as it reduces the contextual load. So there should be a low threshold and little pain involved to do it 
It would be really great, if that panel could appear instantly and allow me to clear the chat. Whatever processing is going on (maybe it’s just a bug anyway?), could be done while the panel is open, while simultaneously allowing me to click “New chat”
