I’d like to suggest adding a feature that allows users to manually or automatically save specific ChatGPT conversations locally to a user-defined folder or sub-folder on their own device (e.g. SSD, synced cloud folder, etc.). This would be extremely helpful for organising conversations by topic—especially for research, writing, or other long-term projects that require a structured workflow.
Being able to name and save individual chats to designated subfolders would help keep topics on track, avoid mix-ups, and streamline the process of revisiting or continuing earlier conversations. It would also reduce the need to sift through long lists of old chats or bulk exports.
This level of control would improve usability significantly for power users and professionals, while potentially reducing the memory burden on OpenAI’s systems.
