It would be great to add a feature that allows chatGPT to search through all the user’s chats, so that the user could say things like, ‘What topics have we talked about for the last week?’ or ‘Summarize all the conversations we’ve had about my fitness goals for the past month.’
Have you tried Echoes - ChatGPT Conversation History Search (Chrome Extension)?
Has full text search, logical operators, fuzzy search, stemming, scoring, conversation summarization and management.
It’s frustrating that this capability exists in the mobile apps (Android, Apple), but not at the chatgptDOTcom web site. There are some browser extensions, but one should not have to rely upon (potentially insecure) third-party software to get such a basic, essential feature out of ChatGPT.
Also, if there are “official” ways to submit ChatGPT feature requests or to “vote” on existing requests, I have not found them. Asking the ChatGPT app itself only results in vague answers and statements that there should be ‘Submit Feedback’ links and forms on the ChatGPT help and support pages. Yet I have been unable to find those.
