Should One Week passed and extensive testing made to see if it’s not just a one time thing, then I will confirmed it’s fixed.
So far, it has been consistent like it used to be. The generation is great, but I cannot get my hopes up right now. I need to make sure it stay that way for at least an week of testing to be sure.
I’m unsure if it is truly fixed. It works most of the time now, but on occasions, the issue returned, even though it had no problem making the same chat over and over again. And I don’t like how it occasionally used Search Web Feature that compromised the quality of stories, even though I did not asked it to use the function.
So I’ve been testing so far. And it worked for the last six days, but today? It acted up again, it functions, yes, but every now and then, the issue that started this whole post returned, as if it is actively trying to sabotage me. I knew I shouldn’t get my hopes up.
Tested it again today, and the issues seem to be resolved when I shorten the prompt, that costed way too much content in the stories, and this is the same issues that preludes the Main problem that led to these posts. I hope it’s not a pattern, because if this repeated, it would be really frustrating.
It returned.

I discovered that the Ipad version of ChatGPT App have the most persistent issue, otherwise the Iphone and even the Ipad’s Website version is fine. I wondered if it had anything to do with the update of the App itself, since other version seem to work fine for the most part.
To clarify, it’s only the Ipad App Version that suffered from reemergence of this issue as far as I could tell. The App does seem to be highly unstable, with some button flicker in and out of thr UI.
Mostly confirmed. The Ipad Version see, to be especially unstable. The UI sometimes flickered with the button that momentarily appeared when you opened the same, and then disappeared immediately, leaving behind an empty space where a button should be.
Most of the Issue were resolved. But guess what? MORE ISSUES! THIS TIME ACTIVE BUGS!
For context, ChatGPT’s memory refused to acknowledge certain info even though it is enabled!
It affected all platforms from my testing (In Website, App on both Android and Ios). From my understanding, it affects the Saved Memory of ChatGPT, I noticed it happened around three days ago. See, I had a full Memory, most of which contain Character profile for stories. But then it failed to recalled a specific information. For example, I have a character who love Pickled Radish, I delete his profile and information then re-added it back, which fixed it, but it caused Saved Memory to fail in recalling an different information, this time about the rough size of the land the story take place. I have tried turning it on and off and reset my personalization. Nothing seems to work, and this is a cycle that keep happening every time I delete and re-added information.
Even deleting all my preference to its default setting, doesn’t help, and Saved Memory still failed to recall. It affect all Models, so this is a widespread issue on the Saved Memory itself, not Model’s.
To clarified further, imagine the memory is a circle. Cutting off one memory that failed to be remembered and re-added it allowed it to be remember, but another information is then unable to be recalled, like taking its place of getting forgotten.
I hope OpenAI team all will address this issue. I do not need it to be effective immediately. I just needed it to be resolve down the line, as this affect many Users like me who consistently make use of the information stored in Saved Memory.
I really don’t like how ChatGPT and OpenAI never been transparent to their Users. With each update, they ruined more and more!
I’ve consulted with my Friend who had Premiums, and some of them confirmed that their memories are also affected. Though a few still had their saved memory working just fine despite being full. Some believed that OpenAI Team is being biased and deliberately lowered the quality of Free Users!
And to top it all that, ChatGPT now make gratuitous use of Web Search without my say in it, and thus ruined EVERYTHING! What is OpenAI even doing?!
I can’t believed it. Every week there is a new bugs. Every week they tried something new and end up ruined everything for Users like me. Does OpenAI even wanted people to use ChatGPT?

This must have stemmed from this update, since I noticed it the exact day this supposed improvement was added. Was this an actual update for us Free Users, or just an excuse to sabotage us? If you are attempting to ruined our experience just because we cannot use Premium, this call ChatGPT’s conduct into question.
