I signed up for the “Max” plan at Cla_de Code and am very satisfied so far. Not to mention they gave me $1000 credit, probably because it’s a research preview. The workflow is better, easier, and it is fixing my codex code without complaints.
Don’t have anything to add as such other than my displeasure, wtf? Left hand is what was possible before!
And then there’s the “contact your administrator” message… well they can’t figure out anything to do either?
Are the tests of this all trivial tasks on trivial code bases?

I have been using it this morning and hit my limit in 1 hour. No fix yet for me
I used this every day all day no problems, refactors, reviews, you name it I could run it on the plus. never hit limits. now as everyone is saying, its unusable.
Agreed, at the very least the Pro tier should offer the previous virtually unlimited plan.
Same here on thr team plan and I hit my daily limit after running 5 maximum tasks and some even fail but still charges me.

Really thank you for resetting the limits and for the bonus credits — that will help tidy things up before I leave. Unfortunately, it’s still critically low. You’ve basically killed the Codex.
Over the past six months, I’ve been completing up to 120 tasks per week on the Plus plan. Now, with one standard task consuming around 4% of my weekly limit, I can barely do 25.
I really enjoy Codex and its web interface, but with limits like these, there’s simply no point in using it anymore. Looks like it’s time to move on to another service.
UPD: So, based on the results of today “working day”:
- 11% of my weekly cap for a single large task.
- The 5-hour cap burns out after just 4 tasks.
- Then the so-called “bonus credits” kicked in — and each task ended up costing me about $1.80 worth of credits. Good thing they were bonuses.
And worst of all, none of these tasks even produced results — all of them were just attempts to fix the same issue that still isn’t solved.
Pure madness.

"We’ve fixed a number of issues with tracking Codex cloud task usage, with more efficiency improvements for cloud tasks landing soon.
To thank you for your patience, we’ve granted $200 in free credits to Plus and Pro users who used cloud tasks in the past month, valid until Nov."
Please do let us know if anyone is still seeing issues here.
Unfortunately, nothing seems to be fixed — all the same issues remain.
In fact, it’s even worse: about 60% of cloud tasks fail to complete or hang indefinitely.
But nothing has been fixed? We received free credits that is great, it seems that daily usage is better now but it still burns through weekly usage after just a few prompts.

@OpenAI_Support I am currently having this issue, I am a Pro subscriber and have been using Codex for over a month but i am limited to 5 hours a week but which is not what is described under the benefits of pro. Can you help please? also i did not recieve $200…
- Move Pro → Plus limits
- Make Pro limits much higher. Call it “Linus Torvalds” level
- Figure out what you need to charge to stay profitable
Today, Pro is anything but, and plus should be the free tier.

Weekly limits are definitely still throttled too hard, I second this. @sama @OpenAI_Support
