I am currently experiencing an issue with my ChatGPT account.
I am unable to connect to the internet, and I am unable to upload or access files with GPT plus account.
Additionally, the output quality seems to be similar to GPT-3.5, even though I am supposed to be using GPT-4, and the content quality is significantly lower than expected.
This problem has persisted for quite a few days. Should we Plus subscribers be treated like this? The competitors are effortlessly winning the game.
If you’re experiencing issues with ChatGPT not working properly, the problem might be related to memory. Here’s what worked for me:
I discovered that simply archiving conversations doesn’t fully free up memory, as archived data still takes up space. Instead, you need to delete old conversations entirely.
Additionally, there’s another part of the memory, particularly what ChatGPT “remembers” about you or tasks you’ve asked it to recall. Interestingly, I could only access this memory on the mobile app, not on the desktop version. To address this:
1. Clear memory via mobile:
• Open the app and delete all or most old conversations.
• Then ask ChatGPT directly to “clear memory” and delete everything it remembers about you or any tasks you’ve assigned it. Follow this by saying, “Update memory now.”
2. Alternative method using subscription reset:
• I requested a refund for my subscription, which reverted my account to the free version. On the mobile app, I saw a message at the top of the screen saying “Memory full.” I cleared it and then resubscribed about five minutes later.
By doing this, everything started working like before. The key takeaway is to ensure you completely clear both conversations and any stored memory about you.
it didn’t help, all my models respond as gpt 4o-mini anyway.
