Issue with Advanced Voice Mode After Moving Conversations to Project

I am experiencing an issue with the Advanced Voice Mode feature. It works normally when the conversation is conducted as a standalone chat. However, whenever I move the conversation into a project, the Advanced Voice Mode automatically becomes unavailable and switches to Normal Voice Mode.

Steps Leading to the Issue:

  1. Start a new conversation with Advanced Voice Mode active.
  2. Move the conversation into a project.
  3. After moving, Advanced Voice Mode is no longer available.

Expectation:
I expect the Advanced Voice Mode to remain active and functional even after the conversation is moved into a project.

Additional Information:

  • This issue consistently occurs whenever a conversation is moved into a project.
  • There is no option to reactivate the Advanced Voice Mode after the conversation is moved.

I’m having a similar issue, except that not only are my project conversations using standard voice—but it’s not even the voice I selected. ChatGPT is just arbitrarily using a different voice.

I believe I’m experiencing the same issue, but I want to clarify that this is NOT related to Advanced Voice Mode.

The problem is with Active Voice in project-based conversations.

My chosen voice shows correctly in the UI but does not apply when I speak in active project chats.

However, the read-aloud function still uses the correct selected voice.

This issue does not happen in normal chats, only in projects.

Since this post is labeled as an “Advanced Voice Mode” issue, it might be misleading OpenAI staff into ignoring it. I recommend either updating the title or making a new post (which I will also be doing).

Just wanted to add more details so we can get more visibility on this!
