Issue Generating Video with $200 Subscription — "Unable to generate video" Error

Hello. I purchased a $200 subscription for the OpenAI video generation service. I still have more than 5,000 points left out of the initial 10,000 points provided, yet I’m unable to generate any video. Every time I attempt to create a video, I encounter the following error:

“Unable to generate video. Hmmm something didn’t look right with your request. Please try again later or visit https://help.openai.com if this issue persists.”

I’ve tried multiple times and verified my input parameters, but the issue continues. Has anyone else experienced this problem or found a solution? Any help or guidance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you!

Same issue here. Can’t even view the recent video page.

Same problem ; but when I log in with another account it works; the problem is only with my 200 plan account

Same issue here as well. Everything was working fine and then consistent error message on multiple browsers with pro account.

yes, I get the same error on the recent videos page. For a few minutes I also got the error message that “Sora was not available in my country.” However, I am a US user with an existing Pro plan account. That message went away, but the problem with video generation persists.

I am having the same issue. I tried my wifes account and it is working fine. I can see my own videos but not anyone elses as well as not being able to create a video.

I have the same issue as everyone else here now for about a day and a half, videos are unable to generate , same error message, featured videos also does not load.

Paying $200 a month of a service that does not work is really frustrating, it’s especially annoying that this affects pro users.

i have the same problem. i bought 200$ subscription just for sora and now i regret it because for plus users everything works fine but not for pro. Support team please pay attention to this and do something.

Having a similar issue as well. Even tried changing prompts to a single sentence instead of the more layered version - to no avail.

I’m still experiencing the same issue and have been exchanging emails back and forth with support, but there’s been no resolution yet.

I’d be curious if you all have this error in network tab too:

  • Do something in Sora that’s currently not working (for me trying to load Recents/Featured, trying to generate Storyboard, trying to generate video)
  • Open dev tools Ctrl + Shift + I
  • Go to Network tab
  • Refresh page
  • Sort Network tab by Status
  • Scroll down to 400
  • Look for recent?limit=24 or featured?limit=24 (when trying to click on those two sections, in my case at least), click it, then go to its Response tab

I’m seeing sentinel_block on multiple devices, networks, and browsers (Chromium & non), no extensions, no VPN, worked previously.

Edit: More specifically, it might be Missing bearer authentication in header error(s), but checking the Header, the Bearer Authorization is included.

Edit 2: I’m getting through maybe 1/50 times, no idea why. Featured has loaded once today, Recents once as well. I sent a HAR to help.openai.com

Edit 3: I didn’t think it was VPN related because it didn’t work with the VPN disabled either, but my past VPN traffic (standard for my use, always-on) flagged my traffic even thru sessions. So I had to wait a bit. Then go in again VPN still disabled. I’m in a supported region and was only connected to other supported region traffic, and my ChatGPT use was all fine and normal, but Sora needed (1) VPN disabled and (2) time waited.
