Is This a Glitch? Advanced Voice Mimicking My Voice and Reading Slides

Yesterday, I had an interesting experience while using Advanced Voice on ChatGPT. While chatting via the Advanced Voice feature on my iPhone, I also opened the ChatGPT website to send some slides for discussion on the same conversation. To my surprise, not only did the Advanced Voice continue responding in my voice, but it also appeared to be reading the content of the slides I sent!

It was Amazing. Advanced Voice not only mimicked my tone and style but also started reading the text from the slides as if it had memorized them. This happened seamlessly during the conversation. However, when I turned off the Advanced Voice feature, it suddenly stopped processing the slides and instead stated that it couldn’t read the slides anymore.

This raises some intriguing questions:

  • Was this an intentional feature of the Advanced Voice system that enables it to adapt and read external inputs like slides during a voice chat?
  • Or was this a technical glitch that allowed the system to access and process the slides unexpectedly?

If this is a designed feature, it’s quite impressive, as it demonstrates a highly interactive and integrated AI capability. However, if it’s a glitch, it might indicate a potential area for improvement to ensure proper communication about the capabilities and limitations of the feature.

I’ve recorded a video showcasing this phenomenon to provide further context. It’s fascinating.2024-12-10T21:00:00Z

What do you think—was this a glitch or a feature?
