It seems that OpenAI has adopted Valve Time.

The truth to me is that we will get it when we get it. There’s nothing we can do, and nobody who will even talk to us about it.

Soon enough competitors will catch up and we can have a voice again.

These are revolutionary tools. Yet, only to be used inside of ChatGPT. So, I’m a sad Ronald and don’t care too much for it (for now)

I think Psychology is going to be more and more key in technical engineering behavior. Having an ergonomic surface to these products that become themselves a psychological tool. As they become more serious and revolutionary the whole way you approach product design, building, releasing, maintaining become crucial for avoiding trauma to the audience. I can see this in our streaming services  and our products in general, the engineering and product practices being quantized and sped up like this seems to be going. Everything is doing this warp speed drive initiation and getting it right will save us all suffering. Over deliver, not under deliver, keep your sauce in your pocket till it was ready yesterday ;). Definitely seems as if the ergonomics here are causing various forms of dissonance among the human population. It seems like an important role for AI to help us with perhaps (it seems really good at being fair, or are those the guard rails? why are we not guard railing ourselves too the same way? or should we?), or just train more people in the psychology of handling people instead of only tech and design raw without the “way to share and get along with others” being often seen as wasting time to market. It’s not just OpenAI, it’s all the big tech companies, especially our media streaming services with things like accessibility and licensing of what we want vs. making the most money right now / p0wning the market like a dictator monopoly, as most companies are focused on doing right now.

This! I think least openAI could have done is to atleast be prompt to announce when it comes to any changes. At this point, them being quiet paints a very bad picture to the point it feels misleading.

I am pretty sure I am not the only one who bought plus just for the vision. It’s not fair to do that.

Hello,

Has anyone in canada gotten chatgpt vision yet?

Cheers :slightly_smiling_face:

Here in California, been a plus member for most of the year and have no vision yet. I have dalle access, which I don’t care much for, and voice which I don’t like much either, and have been checking daily for vision. I really want access to vision to start exploring its capabilities

I have neither voice/vision or dalle :frowning: SF Bay Area USA.

Have a huge limit increase and plugin dev access, spend a lot and lots of use. Very depressing.

I’m wondering, has anyone in Australia got access yet?

Yes I have access as a plus user

I’m in the US and have had no problem with getting other beta features early. I have been unsubbed from plus for a few months and resubbed for Vision a few weeks ago. I still do not have access.

I’ve been a Plus payer since it came out and have API access and still no Vision. I do have voice though and it’s great for conversations in the car. I really want to test out vision though. Can we only use chatgpt-vision via the OpenAI browser app or can you use vision via API right now too? Thanks

I am a Plus user for about 7 months now, and i also dont have access to vision or dalle3 yet within chatgpt. As others have stated, I have other friends and colleagues who have the update, but I still do not… Is there a way to request acces?

Hi,

I’m in Thailand and got DALL·E 3 today, so looks like the rollout is happening slowly.

I got all features except for the vision (and that’s what I’m waiting for). Live in Norway (no-EU member).

Nothing yet, seems like people are either left out or it’s just a lie.

I guess I was somehow inappropriate for my post, odd, I just want what was promised or an announcement of why it is delayed. It feels like my post was censored unfairly but I also see there is no way to appeal. I guess we are just being disorderly for pushing for an answer.

Just to inform everyone, I now have access. I noticed it by chance on the app, and upon visiting the website, I can confirm this.

Same here. Not cool that other countries are getting it before we do!

Same here. Not very cool seeing other users in other countries getting it before us. :face_with_diagonal_mouth:

Seems to have been released to a new block of users in the UK and EU, so things are moving forwards.
