Feature Request: Enable Invocation of CustomGPTs via @
Method in ChatGPT Projects
Summary
Allow users to invoke CustomGPTs directly within ChatGPT Projects by using the @
method, similar to tagging a specific entity or user. This feature would streamline workflows, improve functionality, and enhance the integration of specialized tools in collaborative projects.
Problem Statement
Currently, CustomGPTs are not seamlessly accessible within ChatGPT Projects. Users must switch contexts or rely on indirect methods to leverage CustomGPTs, which disrupts productivity and creates friction in workflows.
Proposed Solution
Introduce the ability to call specific CustomGPTs using an @CustomGPTName
syntax directly in the chat interface of a Project. This would enable users to quickly invoke specialized capabilities without leaving the current context.
Benefits
- Streamlined Workflow: Reduces context-switching and keeps the user focused within the Project interface.
- Improved Efficiency: Enables immediate access to task-specific expertise from CustomGPTs without manual toggling.
- Enhanced Collaboration: Facilitates a multi-expertise environment, where team members can collaboratively interact with specialized models tailored to specific needs.
Example Usage
- Scenario: A user working on a marketing project needs input from a CustomGPT tailored for content creation.
- Interaction: Within the Project chat, they type
@ContentCreatorGPT
followed by their request. - Outcome: The CustomGPT provides its response within the same conversation thread, enhancing the workflow.
