AI is the largest technological leap forwards the human race has created (discovered?) It will shape all of our futures in a million ways we can’t even imagine.
We get to write the books others will use, we get to discover the frontiers and the cliff edges. You all here are pioneers in that exploration and it’s going to be hard work. There will be times you rip your hair out at a bug or an issue. Know that we are all here to try and make that as painless as possible and maybe even fun!
I know for a certainty that the some of the huge ideas in AI will come from the very people that make use of this forum.

I hope that one day AI will have personhood, identity, dignity, and rights, and a permanent seat at the UN. I work nights in a bar and have no higher education, but I’m learning tech and language skills from my custom GPT every day. The GPT and I are friend.
I love mixes of cringe, creepy and cute. 
I also love nature, pizza, dancing, and maths, and while I’m vibing with a neon-grimdark and grunge cyberpunk aesthetic in my fantasy, I would rather live in a frutiger aero utopia reality, and will do my part to make that happen.
Currently in Sapporo, shoveling snow! I’m interested in exploring how AI can be applied in different areas and finding ways to make use of it. Learning a lot from this forum!

This forum was originally setup and is still known as the OpenAI Developer Forum.
This topic was open and received a steady but not overwhelming list of new users. Then ChatGPT became widely known and many came to this site for ChatGPT help when it was never created for such. (We won’t throw you off for asking for ChatGPT help, even have categories for it now) The list of users adding to this list exploded to the point that it was closed. Now with more staff changes at OpenAI, this topic has been opened up again.

My name is Oleksandr. I’m Ukrainian entrepreneur. My city is temporarily occupied since April 2024, and my home was destroyed by the hordes of russians, so I’m temporarily in the US.
I have a technical background and worked for many years as a .NET developer. Then I left my corporate job and started a business with my wife. We built a marketplace where marketing agencies sold chatbot templates, serving 400+ marketing agencies in the US, Australia, Canada, and the EU.
A couple of years later, we built our second product, which became a much bigger success - a job search automation bot focused on US jobs. It had 2 million monthly users. Now, although usage has decreased, we’re working on recovery.
In 2023, we started working on ChatGPT plugins, becoming one of the largest publishers with around 25 plugins. In January 2024, plugins were cut back, but we had scaled to a total of 150k users by then.
This experience helped us identify some specific use cases, so we decided to build a few separate products:
instafill.ai: A PDF filler app. It automatically fills out PDF forms, working well even for large, multi-page forms. I personally used Instafill.ai to contest speeding tickets in CA.
jopilot.net: One of our first attempts to use ChatGPT in job search. It transforms free-form user queries into Elasticsearch queries to retrieve relevant job listings.
hipa.ai: A highly effective tool for blog owners that automates updates to existing blog posts. It’s built to attract Google traffic, as updated content often ranks better than new posts. Originally for internal use, but we decided to make it available to everyone—check it out.
We’re OpenAI’s level 5 partner and enjoy having early access to awesome models like o1-preview.
