Feature Request:interactive Text Selection in ChatGPT

Problem:

When ChatGPT provides long answers, users often want to ask questions about one particular sentence, paragraph, code snippet or recommendation. Currently, they may need to copy and paste the text or explain which section they mean.

Proposed Solution:

Introduce a feature called “Circle to Ask”.

Users should be able to:

- Draw a circle around any text within a ChatGPT response.

- Select a specific paragraph, sentence, table entry or code snippet.

- Instantly ask a follow-up question about the selected content.

- Receive answers with the selected text automatically included as context.

Additional possibilities:

- Highlight and explain difficult concepts.

- Translate selected text.

- Generate examples from selected content.

- Debug selected code.

- Compare two separately selected sections.

Expected Benefits:

This would make ChatGPT more interactive, intuitive and context-aware, particularly for students, researchers, programmers and professionals.

The experience could be similar to Google’s Circle to Search, but designed specifically for interacting with AI-generated conversations.
