Bravo…The issue has been fixed by OpenAI. I have successfully subscribed to chatgpt plus.The issue was infact related to tax calculation and now the new cost is 23.60$ with 3.60$ being GST. Thanks OpenAI. And about increase cost what can we do about this GST. Less said the better. Happy gptting 4 everyone

I’m still facing the issue from Argentina.
Still facing the same issue from India. The message from bank says that the Standing Instruction has been declined as per RBI guidelines. Seems like because of lack of support by the Stripe gateway for the e-mandate system for recurring transactions as per RBI guidelines.
Please fix it soon. Lots of users in India must be facing this same issue.
Tried it using Chrome and Firefox browsers both, as some other users suggested, but does not work in either.

Curious, what card did you used ? Tried my luck at morning but still got the same error.

Hey everyone, I was able to make the payment today. It wasn’t going through because OpenAI couldnt apply the GST tax while making the payment. But today they applied 18% gst and then the payment gets accepted. Hope this helps!

Previously, I was experiencing issues with the system, but it seems that the problem has been resolved as of March 17th. I was able to successfully use my ICICI International debit card. Here are some possible steps to debug the issue:
There may have been a Javascript error with the tax calculations, which should have shown an 18% IGST of approximately $3 on the screen. If this is not displayed, you can try entering it manually and then entering your pin code first.

Nope, keep trying. Make sure international transaction option is turned on and it’s a VISA or Mastercard
