Same issue. The fact that it has been going on so long and is such a basic feature is absolutely insane. Needing to do a work around to move images to a new folder to try and erase them at a glacial speed is nuts. At this point, I don’t care if they hoard the image for more AI manipulation in the future, at least hide them from my library. What a disgrace.

Some of the images do not have the trash icon, but your step 4 is enough!
We are in late October and this problem still going on, thanks for the advice, your method works. It is a pain in the arse moving images / videos to a new folder then deleting forever from that folder. I found that the folder needed to be refreshed after every single deletion as well before you could select the next one to delete. Will have to just keep on top of it rather than let them build up in my media lol

It isn’t even possible to delete individual files once you’ve moved them to a new folder, you have to delete the whole folder, as increasingly ‘delete’ doesn’t appear as an option.
I found a temporary workaround on computer (Or, at least what worked for me.)
Step 1: Move undesired generated images/videos to a folder
Step 2: While in the folder hover over the image and click on the 3 dots
Step 3: at the bottom of the drop down list you should see the delete forever option. that will remove it from both ‘my media’ and the folder.
Step 4 (Maybe?): If your page glitches out after clicking delete forever and freezes, just reload the page and it should be fine.
This way you should avoid having to speedrun to the trash folder before it reappears in your media and instead can sort and clean timely. For now only worked on my side, if it does for you, happy sorting.

Hey i just found the solution: just select your video|image, a nd press backspace two times very fast. First will move it into trash, second will run delete forever dialog. Then select white button with your mouse;-)
Point is that u can delete your creaiton only when it’s trashed, but when u trash it, it just disappear and do not appear in trash.
You just need to quickly press backspace twice, the delete dialog will appear and will not disappear until you press “delete”
