When an image is opened in the enlarged viewer in Codex, the button used to close the enlarged image is positioned very close to—and at almost the same height as—the button used to close Codex itself.
Because these two controls are so close together, it is very easy to click the wrong button when trying to exit the enlarged image view. I have accidentally closed Codex several times because of this layout.
I hope the UI team can improve this interaction by moving the image viewer’s close button farther away from the Codex window close button. Another possible solution would be to place it on the opposite side of the viewer or allow users to close the enlarged image more clearly with the Esc key.
This is a small design issue, but it causes frequent accidental clicks and interrupts the workflow.
