I want to share an idea that could make ChatGPT much more powerful.
When people search, their phrasing is often vague and so the results can be shallow. For example:
- If someone searches “where kangaroos live”, they might just get “Kanaroos live in Australia”.
The Idea:
Instead of ChatGPT searching exactly as the user phrased, ChatGPT could automatically enhance the search phrase with the goal of retrieving deep knowledge. That means:
“Where kangaroos live” could be auto-enhanced into something like:
- “Kangaroo species distribution and habitats in Australia”
This way, the user gets rich insights instead of a one-line answer.
Why It Matters:
- Accessibility: Users don’t need to say the “right” thing anymore to get deep insights.
- Depth: Answers become richer, more informative, and more helpful.
- Efficiency: Less time wasted changing queries.
- Universality: Works across domains — geography, history, entertainment, and more.
It’s incredible because ChatGPT wouldn’t just “go along” with human queries — it would do something better: invent superior phrases that guarantee high‑quality insights. That transforms ChatGPT into a smarter assistant, permanently raising the standard for how humans access knowledge.
I’d like to give a second example.
When a user types in something like “current video game trends”, ChatGPT wouldn’t use that phrase to search for knowledge. Instead, it would treat that human input as a sign — a starting point to actively think up it’s own superior query that will extract rich knowledge.
Instead of searching for “current video game trends”, it would think of how to obtain meaningful knowledge for the user, therefore rewriting the query into something like:
“Latest video game industry trends in 2025, including genres, platforms, and player behavior.”
This example shows the power of ChatGPT not just “going along” with human queries, but inventing better ones with the goal of gaining deep insight.
This idea would improve answers significantly because it removes the weakest link (bad phrasing) and automatically replaces it with superior queries aimed at obtaining high knowledge.
If implemented, this idea would be highly significant because it doesn’t just improve ChatGPT’s answers — it redefines the role of ChatGPT. ChatGPT would suddenly act as an interpreter of human phrases, then think up it’s own superior phrases, ensuring that every human query leads to deep, insightful, and informative answers.
