I guess, they making that as paid feature. I hope not, it affects my education and skill set significantly.
I will not be able to learn anymore if I cannot regenerate. And also cannot refer those answers back.
check your browser history, you should see the named chats in your history, click the one you are looking for. hope this helps. make sure to save all your new chats to notepad files as backups.
Just clear the cache and/or data on your browser. Worked for me.
For now here’s my simple solution: from now on you can copy the whole conversation into other applications. And when you want continue your conversation, start a new chat and tell the chatGPT that you want to go on with the conversation you’re going to paste in the new one.
Log out/in, cookies-cache-cleaning or other methods did not work for me, so just for now I have to do this in an old way.
I hope the Openai team will fix that soon. Wish you guys have the data back.
You can solve the problem by logging out and then signing back in.

I just upgraded to plus, and Chat GPT no longer saves my chats in chat history ???
Again same issue. OpenAI should work on this to have a permanent fix.
Same. I just upgraded. Lost my previous chats and my new ones arent saved. Kind of annoyed to have paid for this.
