However, I would like to express a concern about the current safety restrictions related to chemistry. I fully understand and support the importance of safety. My concern is that the current system sometimes blocks discussions that are genuinely educational or scientific, even when the purpose is to understand chemistry rather than to misuse it.
As an adult learner, I often study reaction mechanisms, inorganic chemistry, metallurgy, and laboratory methods simply because I enjoy understanding how nature works. In some cases, I have found that the restrictions prevent meaningful scientific discussions that would normally be available in university textbooks or academic literature.
I would like to suggest the creation of an optional “Advanced Educational” or “Research” mode for verified users or subscribers. Such a mode could provide deeper scientific explanations while still maintaining strong safeguards against harmful misuse. This would greatly benefit researchers, engineers, chemists, and serious hobbyists who use ChatGPT as a learning tool.
I believe many paying subscribers would appreciate having access to a more advanced educational experience that distinguishes between scientific inquiry and malicious intent.
