After using chat gpt for 2 years I realized that is not worth the 20 euros a month.

Here are some examples of why chat gpt it is not a tool to trust and especially why you should not pay for any subscription.

  1. unreasonable on academic sources 9 out of 10 times the AI has no idea of what it talks about. Every single time I upload it a chapter or a book always the references where wrong. Even if references actually where in the ende of every chapter.

  2. Doesn’t know how to count words ( I have tried multiple hours to make it count correctly a document or even write a sentence and in all cases the AI was wrong. Also when I said “write to me 100 words of” never does it.

  3. Whenever I copy and paste my work on it and ask to “evaluate it” it gives me suggestions for “improvement” when I do the improvement’s and I upload again asking “how that looks now?” always comes with more improvement’s without stop for hours ( it gets into my nerves) in the end the whole work is a garbage because keeps repeating the same things all over.

  4. whenever I used the AI on one single chat more than 2 hours asking questions the chat suddenly become crazy. What I mean by crazy oh God doesn’t respond in a way that should be. Complete nut case. Whatever I will say even if I know I am wrong always will reply with " you are right" (that makes me extremely upset.

  5. Most of the AI tools that the subscription gives you are also unreliable and garbage. I used the mind map tool multiple times and always generated a garbage mind map. I also upload it my mind maps and ask for adjustments and always the work was garbage too.

  6. Hallucinations

7)The way that writes even if you specifically say that you don’t want ever again to give you the specific words,it always does. Words that I am sick of seeing them are. Adhere, comprehensive, enhance, and much more.

  1. It is always repetitive and even if you demand to stop giving repetitions or same ideas, words, format it never listens to you. Always redundancies none stop.

  2. I can write a whole book explain to you why I think this AI is garbage but I don’t want to spend more time of my precious schedule for this topic. I am done with this model and I will definitely try to find something more reliable even if it costs me double the money. If anyone has same problems please feel free to comment. Also if anyone has tips please let me know. I might do something wrong…

Dude, if you’re using mostly GPT-4o, then lower your expectations. Here the pattern: Hallucinate–Ignore your instructions (both on custom instructions or prompt)–False Acknowledge–Making Excuse–Making Promises–Excute Lazyness–Repeat.

If you got on your nerve, and write your rage on prompt, then your session got flagged. GPT will apply non sense guardrails and refuse to do any of your prompt. If you can continue it, then it start from dumb again. Then you half set up it again. Then it happen again (refuse to do your prompt).

Try ask GPT, whatever model you like to read tour pdf or docx file. It will read only first 4 pages on your doc max. The others? 100% will cut off or hallucinate.

GPT-o1 is more crazy. It even argue it right even your doc stated otherwise.

It is more severe if you have long session. More longer, more problems. It even can’t remember his own previous responses in same chat session.

So dude, for critical works I suggest do it manual.
